Introduction of Kangaroo Math
The Kangaroo Math Competition is an International school-level mathematics competition that is organized by the Association Kangourou San Frontieres (AKSF), based in Paris, France. Founded in the 1980s, The Kangaroo Math Competition is currently the world's largest competition with more than 6 million participants per year, from 98 countries.
Our Objectives
- To popularize mathematical enrichment activities among students and teachers in Brunei
- To allow local Bruneian school students to achieve certification and recognition from an internationally prominent education body
- To expose students to interesting maths problems designed by internationally renowned maths educator
- To allow students to apply their knowledge in Mathematics that they have learned in schools

Students should be registered into the categories above, according to their academic year in 2024/2025

Where will it be held?
The competition will be held at the registered school, to be administered by the assigned TIC
The competition is a paper-based (offline) method
Question Format
Kangaroo is an individual, closed-book and multiple-choice examination.
Duration of examination is 75 minutes.
Questions are prepared in English Language.
There are 20 questions in Pre-Ecolier and Ecolier papers while 24 questions in Benjamin, Cadet, Junior and Student papers. For each question, there are five (5) answer choices.
Rules & Restriction
Students can only bring a pencil, eraser and geometric tools to the competition
The student may NOT use a calculator or a reference text during the competition
No deducted marks for any wrong answer given by the students
Enforcement
The Kangaroo Math Brunei Secretariat will dispatch the question package to respected schools.
The Teacher-in-Charge (TIC) is kindly requested to select a suitable date for scheduling the Kangaroo Math Competition through a Google Form that will be sent via email.
Schools are responsible for enforcing the regulations of the competition

Registration Steps
Follow all the steps provided down below to ensure we successfully receive your registration!
1. Register your interest and detailing by clicking on the button below
2. Check your registered email for the password & credentials required prior to signing in
3. Login to your contest hub account
4. Update your profile with the latest details
5. Adding your contest selection
This can be accessed by clicking the "Add Contest" button. Select your respective competition.
6. Adding Participants & Detailing
In order for us to identify the number of contestant per registration and their detailing, you may need to utilize the "Add Participants" button.
7. For bulk registration, you may download the format provided within the system. Please ensure that each participant details is properly filled with their respective PIC email address before uploading the document.
8. Once everything is completed, you may proceed with the payment option via Baiduri Transfer.
9. Congratulations! You have successfully registered for the competition!
Every participant will receive a certificate of participation jointly issued by AKSF, signed by the Chairman of the Board, Dr. Meike Akveld, and Mr. Suhaimi Ramly, the Director of Kangaroo Math Brunei.
